Back for round two of the Traxxas Monster/Build project, the team is revving up their engines after a scenic detour to Portugal. With a collection of heavy-duty parts like aluminum tie rods and aftermarket hinge pins, they're transforming a stripped-down donor platform into a beastly monster truck build. The installation of GTR shocks filled with 808 oil and black springs adds a touch of finesse to the rugged exterior, complemented by the sturdy short course bumpers for added protection.
Electronics take center stage as the Traxxas servo and Valenian VXL 3S system are seamlessly integrated into the build, promising a power-packed performance on the track. The meticulous process of mounting the motor and routing wires underscores the precision required for a flawless finish. With sledgehammer tires and carefully adjusted body mounts enhancing the truck's stance, the team faces the final frontier of trimming the body to perfection.
As the project nears completion, the team's excitement is palpable, despite a slight pang of regret over the motor choice. Nevertheless, the truck's raw power and potential for exhilarating jumps overshadow any minor setbacks. With plans to optimize performance with a cooling fan and fine-tune the setup for future runs, the team reflects on the success of the build. The seamless integration of Traxxas parts and the sheer thrill of driving the custom-built monster truck serve as a testament to the team's craftsmanship and dedication to the RC world.
